Jennifer Valverde-
Owner and Educator
I am a State Certified teacher and highly qualified in early childhood. My primary Montessori training was through CMTE/NY and I have over fifteen years of experience in the early childhood classroom. The students from my first classroom now have their drivers licenses! My teaching experience also includes, Waldorf and kindergarten English Language Development. I have been dreaming of creating an early childhood program that integrates Montessori and Waldorf, since I began my educational journey with my eldest daughter, who turns twenty this year.
The benefit of my combined knowledge in diverse pedagogy will ultimately develop the full potential of your child for the path for kindergarten and beyond. In a modern age of education, where families have multiple options, we offer you an organic option with a solid foundation of knowledge and experience to support your family in flourishing in their greatest potential.
We have a passion for natural living. Our journey began in 1998 with eating organic and keeping a green home. We grow organic gardens and have chickens in our backyard. I enjoy making homemade cleaning and body products and am excited to share this knowledge with your family.
Another one of my passions is traveling. I love traveling with my three children, from road trips to riding horses in the jungles of Costa Rica. We aspire to see the world and participate in global education projects. We will launch Global Goodness in the 2015 school year, a coloring book project created with the children here at The Little Garden Schoolhouse to be shared with a global education project.
I also, have a small organic clothing business, Organic Livity. I create many of the textiles for our little school, including the nap mat covers, that are handmade from bamboo organic cotton fabric.
I am honored to share the gifts of my education, knowledge, and experience to guide your child in growing to their full potential.
